Boards?

Okay; I need to go get some sleep, but i'm going to leave this topic open....

What do YOU want to discuss? what topics should I give their own boards to? Think Unwoman; she'll have her own category, but we'll have general topics too like..your music, etc etc.

i would break down the forum into 2 main sections. one for all things Unwoman and another for OT. i would then break down the Unwoman section into separate sections for shows, Unwoman general chat, and news. then OT can have gen. chat, non-Unwoman music, and other stuff.

I'd suggest something along these lines:

- General
- Welcome (introduce yourself, say hi)
- General forum (questions. answers. talk.)
- Anachronistic couture (where steampunk meets corsets. Or something)

-Music
- Announcements (Ustream, Live stuff)
- Unwomanizing (where we discuss how awesome her music is. Originals, covers, etc.)
- Un-Unwoman (music that is not Erica, but that we like too)
- Musicians' corner (Where cellists, pianists, and everyone encourages and helps each other to play)

Just ideas....

This is what we have on the Evanescence.it board and it works out pretty well... it goes like this, I'll replace Evanescence with Unwoman:

First - Introduce Yourself (self-explanatory)
Second - Unwoman: News & Press (where fans post articles and news on Unwoman)
Third - Unwoman: Media & Discography (where fans talk about their favorite albums/songs, etc. There's a thread for each album to keep it tidy.)
Fourth - Street Team: (place where fans can post "fan encounters" (pictures/videos), and anything used to Promote Unwoman)
Fifth - Anything Goes: (self-explanatory)
Sixth - Other Music Artists: (self-explanatory)
Seventh - Movies & TV: (self-explanatory)
Eighth - Poetries & Arts: (where fans can post their poetries/song lyrics/art)
Ninth - Technical Matters: (self-explanatory)

(Note: May want to put an International Area separately... just in case.

I really like vanzetti's idea of separating them. It'll make it cleaner.

And the Un-unwoman idea from SonoranCellist is fantastic!

I'm strongly in favor in having a "musician's corner", but it needs a name that doesn't exclude people who aren't musicians yet. In an ideal world, if people are inspired by Unwoman's music, let's encourage a place where they might want to pick up an instrument for the first time. It's never too late!

Also, I want someone to show me how to play the main pizz line for "Hurt"

We can have a musicians corner in it's own category with several boards, one for musicians who are 'established' (writing music, singing in shows, playing in orchestras, etc) and one for 'beginners' ?

That sounds great! But it needs something more than just "beginners"... like a better name I mean, to go with "established". Maybe "novice" or something?

Maybe also have a thread for the musicians who are currently "Internet-Only"... or "Online-Only"...

Also, on a separate topic... for the boards all about Unwoman, how about calling it UnEverything? UnWomanizing could be the thread for the Street Team and stuff like that. Does UnWoman have a Street Team?

I'll call the board Street Team, so no one gets confused.. I really don't want to have a seperate category for every little board, it'll look...well, pointless! hopefully you'll be pleased with it when i'm done.

I'd say 500 wide x 150 high for images NO MORE THAN 500 WIDE OR YOU'LL STRETCH THE FORUM.
