i know that a lot of people on the unstream were voting for an Ev cover so i figured there were some fans as well! i got into Ev back in '03 and am patiently awaiting their newest cd, hopefully out later this year.

I used to listen to Ev a lot when I was in High School but stopped listening pretty much when I reached my 5th year or so. I still find myself youtubing a song from time to time though.
I've seen them live only once, and it was a strange show. Ev were opening for Iron Maiden at Download Festival in 07' and Amy Lee kept saying things like "I'm only a chick but" and "Just cause I'm a chick".
It made me wonder if someone backstage had said something sexist to her, if that's the case she must have been fighting back with The Spice Girls brand of feminism.

i remember some video i saw of her telling the crowd that they belonged at the festival they were performing at, it was weird.

That's so cool that you were there. I remember that speech... basically, (she admitted) that she was a little bit drunk during that performance. But, that's not the point. Ev were getting a lot of a crap because of where they were placed in the performance I think... i.e.; opening for Iron Maiden (not to mention the constant bottles being thrown at them, and being one of the only female fronted bands at the festival) so naturally, I think she was just having a little fun with it. But, she was right... they deserved to be there as much as everyone else. Anyways, the first ev concert I ever went to was the Family Values Tour in '06. With Korn, Flyleaf, and some other bands (that I didn't really care for, not live either.) The concert of course was amazing. Amy's voice was the best I've heard in a while... and I got to hear them perform PEOPLE ARE STRANGE! It pissed me off that they wouldn't allow cameras. I think it was because they were recording DVD footage (FVT puts out a DVD usually at some point, but it hasn't been released yet for this one.) but still, I was mad. xD I've still yet to go to an actual Ev concert. The crowd sucked at this one, they were all obviously there for Korn.

Yeah it really was a harsh crowd there at download, but the bottles being thrown at Ev were nothing compared to what My Chemical Romance was getting.
It was a very uncomfortable atmosphere. Although the bottle wars were a hell of a lot of fun when thrown at each other.
I was actully only watching the main stage on the last day because Ev were playing, I'm not a fan of Iron Maiden.

^I'd love to. I totally forgot about My Chemical Romance being there. I hate that Michigan never has any big festivals like that. It'd be so worth the money... just to say you'd been there, ya know?
